Summermusic Concerts will conclude the 2026 season with JANTELAGEN, performed by Curtis Bannister, tenor & Mark Markham, piano. Praised by the L. A. Times as a “quiet revelation” for his performances in theater, opera and film, award-winning tenor Curtis Bannister and pianist Mark Markham will present songs by composers from Richard Strauss and Ravel to Bernstein and Duke Ellington, illuminating the cultural concept of Jantelagen, which translates to a focus on collective unity and humility over praise of the individual.
